Previously known as Brent Quilliam Stonemason
A.R.C Stonemasonry was commissioned to restore the Pinkerton Plains memorial by creating a new hand-carved sandstone section. The original memorial had partially survived but required a new top piece to complete it and preserve its significance within the local community.
This heritage restoration project showcases our expertise in traditional stone carving, ensuring that the new hand-carved sandstone addition integrates seamlessly with the original monument while honoring its historic craftsmanship.
Scope of Work
Design and Planning: Ensured the new piece matched the scale, style, and proportions of the existing memorial.
Hand-Carving: Created a new sandstone section using traditional hand-carving techniques to replicate the craftsmanship of the original.
Installation: Fitted the newly carved section on top of the remaining structure, restoring the monument’s complete form.
Heritage Sensitivity: All work was carried out with respect to the historical and cultural value of the memorial.
