Project Overview
A.R.C Stonemasonry was commissioned to restore a memorial in Pinkerton Plains by creating a new hand-carved sandstone section. The original memorial had survived in part, but required a new top piece to complete it and preserve its presence within the local community.
This project highlights our expertise in traditional stone carving, ensuring that the new addition integrates seamlessly with the original monument while honouring its historic craftsmanship.
Scope of Work
- Design and Planning: Ensured the new piece matched the scale, style, and proportions of the existing memorial.
- Hand-Carving: Created a new sandstone section using traditional hand-carving techniques to replicate the craftsmanship of the original.
- Installation: Fitted the newly carved section on top of the remaining structure, restoring the monument’s complete form.
